Quality Manager - Healthcare (UAEN)

Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the hospital’s Quality Management and Patient Safety programs. The role ensures compliance with UAE healthcare regulatory authorities and international accreditation standards, while driving continuous improvement in clinical and operational performance across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Patient Safety
- Develop, implement, and maintain the hospital Quality Management System (QMS).
- Lead hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Monitor clinical quality indicators, patient safety metrics, and performance outcomes.
- Investigate incidents, sentinel events, and near-misses; ensure root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans are completed and tracked.
Accreditation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations (DoH / DHA / MOHAP, as applicable).
- Lead preparation, coordination, and maintenance of hospital accreditation (e.g., JCI, CBAHI, or equivalent).
- Conduct internal audits, mock surveys, and compliance assessments.
- Ensure policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and present quality and patient safety reports to hospital leadership and committees.
- Support Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Control, and Risk Management committees.
- Maintain documentation, dashboards, and performance reports for management review.
Training & Culture
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the hospital.
- Conduct training and awareness programs on quality standards, patient safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Coach department heads and staff on quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma).
Risk Management
- Identify organizational risks and support mitigation strategies.
- Oversee risk registers and support hospital-wide risk management activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Medicine, Quality Management, or a related healthcare field.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, Quality, or Public Health is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 6–10 years of experience in healthcare quality management within a hospital setting.
- Proven experience with healthcare accreditation and regulatory compliance in the UAE.
Certifications (Preferred)
- CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality)
- Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt or above)
- Patient Safety or Risk Management certification
