Job Summary
Responsible for performing and reporting on radiological procedures and scans assigned to him/her. Responsible to view, read and diagnosed the examination done thru PAC's system and approve medical report soon as possible. Responsible for providing care to his /her patients (in-patient/out patient) maintaining a high level of professional performance in accordance with.
- Professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards.
- Hospital medical by-laws
- Laws of Ministry of Health in kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according with hospital quality plan.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
- Responsible to practices within the framework of clinical privilege of both In-patients and Out-patients.
- Works under supervision and instructions of assigned Consultant.
- Should seek the advice of the Consultant whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise. Works under supervision and instructions of assigned consultant.
- Assist Senior Staff (Consultant) in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures to patients in his field of specialty.
- Presentation actively in the On-call Rota of the department for patient care.
- Performs non-interventional imaging procedures.
- Performs routine ultrasound cases and delivers a written report of the finding.
- Participates in the delivery of imaging techniques requested by outpatient services (e.g. OPD and ER).
- Responds to emergencies to offer the best available imaging modality.
- Reports on X-ray procedures and scans in a systematic informative and conclusive manner.
- Assesses, evaluate and documents the findings of all Radiographs (X-ray reports and special procedures reports done on a day to day basis.
- Prepares all medical reports related to the admitted and outpatients' patients thru PACS system and must be approved as soon as possible.
- Responsible to be Punctual in time of duty schedule.
- Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by Superiors.
- Must know the department Policies and Procedures as well as hospital by-laws, Rules and Regulations.
- Actively participates in departments and educational training activities.
- Responsible to know the Policies and procedures; Goals and objectives of the Radiology Department.
- Responsible to know and abides Riyadh Care Hospital by-laws and Rules and regulations.
- Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record.
- They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education.
- Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care.
- Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations.
- Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

Qualification
Education
- Required
- Must have University graduate medical Degree. Postgraduate qualification in Radiology.
- Master is Radiology is preferred.
- Registration in Saudi Medical Council and/or current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia
Experience
- Required
- At least Three (3) years’ experience in Radiology after obtaining higher
- Experience in subspecialty of Radiology is preferred.
- Academic affiliation is preferable.
Competencies & Skills
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Exhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Is knowledgeable of the Medical by-laws.
- Knowledge of computer application.
