Role Description

This is a full-time Senior Social Worker position based on-site in Al Khobar. The Senior Social Worker will provide social and emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring adequate access to community resources and support systems. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, creating and implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams to provide holistic care. The role also involves offering counseling sessions, education, and support for individuals coping with medical challenges, and advocating for patients' needs within the healthcare system.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing tailored care plans
  • Strong interpersonal, counseling, and communication skills to provide emotional and psychological support
  • Experience in working collaboratively with interdisciplinary medical teams and providing comprehensive patient care
  • Understanding of community resources and the ability to link patients with appropriate support services
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and case management skills
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field, with licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (or equivalent certification)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Knowledge of cultural sensitivity practices, especially in the context of Middle Eastern culture, is a plus
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
