Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.

The Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across obstetric and gynecological services at Danat Al Emarat Hospital. The role involves managing women’s health needs throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, as well as diagnosing and treating a wide range of gynecological conditions in line with hospital standards and UAE regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and evidence-based obstetric care, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal management.
• Diagnose and manage common and complex gynecological conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Perform gynecological procedures and assist in operative cases as per scope of practice.
• Participate in on-call and emergency obstetric coverage as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Specialist qualification recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi (or eligibility for licensure).
• Relevant post-qualification clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development.
