Job Summary
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, inventory control, and issuance of automobile spare parts for heavy equipment, trucks, buses, and light vehicles. The role ensures the availability of parts to support fleet maintenance and transportation operations while maintaining accurate inventory records and warehouse efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify automobile spare parts and materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of automotive parts, consumables, and accessories.
- Issue spare parts to workshop and maintenance personnel while maintaining proper documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to avoid shortages.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and stock reconciliations.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of spare parts.
- Coordinate with procurement, fleet maintenance, and transportation teams regarding parts requirements.
- Track fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical spare parts inventory.
- Maintain records of parts usage, stock movements, and inventory reports.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety regulations, and warehouse standards.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organized storage systems.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Warehouse Management or Inventory Control is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory management of automobile spare parts.
- Experience handling spare parts for heavy equipment, trucks, buses, and light vehicles.
- Experience in transportation, automotive, fleet management, or logistics industries preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts and components.
- Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to analyze stock levels and forecast requirements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse and workshop environment.
- Coordination with fleet maintenance and transportation operations.
- May require occasional site visits and inventory audits.
