Anesthesia Technician

  • Prepare, check and set up anesthesia machines, monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps and other related equipment before each case.
  • Assist anesthesia providers during induction, maintenance and emergence phases—passing equipment, handling airway tools, suction, gas cylinders, etc.
  • Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of anesthesia equipment throughout procedures; troubleshoot minor issues and escalate as required.
  • Prepare and organize anesthetic drugs and disposables, ensuring stocks are maintained, expiry dates monitored and inventory reconciled.
  • Support patient positioning and transfer (under supervision) when required for anesthesia set-up and surgical access.
  • Adhere to all infection-control, sterilization and cleaning protocols for equipment and workspace, including decontamination of reusable items.
  • Ensure patient safety by verifying equipment calibration, gas supply integrity, PPE usage and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in emergency situations (e.g., airway rescue, rapid sequence induction) by having required tools ready and supporting the anesthesia provider.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of equipment checks, consumables usage, maintenance logs and support shift-handover communication.
  • Participate in training sessions, simulation drills and continuous improvement of anesthesia-service workflow.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED5,000.00 per month
