Behaviour Therapist / Support Worker

Role Description The Behaviour Therapist / Support Worker role is a part-time, on-site position based in Dubai. In this role, the team member supports individuals with disabilities and older adults by implementing behavior support plans, monitoring progress, and documenting observations in line with organizational policies. Daily activities may include providing one-on-one support, assisting with personal care and daily living tasks, facilitating participation in community and group activities, and promoting independence and safety. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to ensure consistent, person-centered support. The Behaviour Therapist / Support Worker is expected to maintain professional boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to provide supportive care, including assistance with daily living, behavior support implementation, and community engagement activities.
• Knowledge or experience in disability support, aged care, or mental health services, with an understanding of person-centered and trauma-informed practices.
• Organizational and record-keeping skills, including accurate documentation of client progress, incident reporting, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Relevant qualification or training in psychology, social work, counseling, disability support, aged care, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai, including flexibility to work part-time hours and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to non-discriminatory practice, safeguarding, and maintaining the dignity and rights of all clients.
• First Aid and CPR certification, and familiarity with basic health and safety standards, are highly beneficial.
