Biomedical Technician - Medical Furniture and Wheelchair

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of medical furniture, including manual and powered wheelchairs, lifts, and other mobility equipment.
• Provide technical support to customers regarding equipment use, troubleshooting steps, and repair processes.
• Conduct inspections and routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment safety and compliance with industry standards.
• Document repair activities, parts used, service reports, and customer interactions in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to order parts, schedule service appointments, and resolve technical issues.
• Assist with equipment setup, installation, and configuration for clients as needed.
• Ensure timely, professional, and customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

Required

• Proven experience in repairing power wheelchairs, mobility devices, or similar mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with common wheelchair components: motors, batteries, control modules, frames, and seating systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose issues efficiently and perform hands-on repairs safely and accurately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
