Case Manager

Role Purpose

To ensure efficient utilization of inpatient beds, manage patient flow, and optimize hospital capacity at Al Salama Hospital. The Case Manager is responsible for coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain smooth patient transitions, minimize delays, and enhance operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. The role supports high-quality patient care and promotes a positive experience for both patients and staff in alignment with the hospital’s core value of humanization.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and bed assignments.

• Monitor bed occupancy and ensure optimal utilization.

• Facilitate smooth patient transitions between departments.

• Manage hospital capacity and implement contingency plans during high-demand periods.

• Maintain accurate patient flow records and prepare capacity reports.

• Develop and support policies related to patient flow and bed management.

• Lead and support the bed management team to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medicine.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical, insurance, or inpatient administration.

• Registered with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

• Strong knowledge of bed management and hospital workflows.

• Advanced communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in hospital systems and EHR.

• Ability to manage crisis and high-demand situations.
