Role Summary Provides advanced fetal medicine services, including diagnosis, counseling, and management of high‑risk pregnancies. Leads fetal imaging, prenatal diagnostics, and interventional procedures while ensuring evidence‑based, patient‑centered care aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of specialized fetal medicine services, including detailed anomaly scans, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, and Doppler studies.
  • Perform and interpret advanced prenatal diagnostic procedures (e.g., CVS, amniocentesis, fetal sampling).
  • Manage complex and high‑risk pregnancies in collaboration with obstetric, neonatal, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide expert counselling to families regarding fetal anomalies, genetic risks, and management options.
  • Participate in fetal therapy planning and coordinate referrals for intrauterine interventions when required.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and follow‑up of all fetal medicine cases.
  • Contribute to departmental quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient‑safety initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and sonographers in fetal medicine practices.
  • Participate in on‑call duties as per departmental requirements.
  • Engage in research, audits, and continuous professional development to maintain international standards of practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent).
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Subspecialty certification or fellowship in Fetal Medicine / Maternal–Fetal Medicine from a recognized international body.
  • Minimum 3–5 years post‑fellowship experience in fetal medicine.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced fetal imaging and prenatal diagnostics.
  • Experience in managing complex fetal anomalies and high‑risk pregnancies.
