Responsibilities – Site / Industrial General Practitioner (GP)

A Site / Industrial GP is responsible for providing primary and occupational healthcare services to employees at industrial sites such as construction projects, manufacturing facilities, oil & gas sites, or remote locations. The role focuses on workplace health management, emergency response, and occupational health compliance.

1. Primary Medical Care

  • Provide medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for employees suffering from illnesses or minor injuries.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and prescribe medications as required.
  • Manage common medical conditions such as infections, respiratory issues, dehydration, and chronic diseases.

2. Emergency & Trauma Management

  • Respond to workplace medical emergencies and accidents.
  • Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) and stabilize patients before transferring to hospitals.
  • Manage trauma cases such as fractures, burns, heat stroke, and workplace injuries.
  • Coordinate with ambulance services and emergency response teams.

3. Occupational Health Services

  • Conduct pre-employment and periodic medical examinations for employees.
  • Assess employee fitness-to-work and provide medical clearance when required.
  • Monitor occupational diseases and work-related health risks.

4. Workplace Health & Safety

  • Work closely with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) teams to identify workplace health hazards.
  • Advise management on preventive measures to reduce workplace injuries and health risks.
  • Participate in workplace inspections and safety audits.

5. Health Education & Prevention

  • Conduct health awareness programs on topics such as heat stress, hydration, hygiene, and lifestyle diseases.
  • Promote vaccination programs and infection control practices.
  • Educate employees on injury prevention and workplace safety.

6. Medical Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment logs for all employees.
  • Prepare incident reports related to workplace injuries or illnesses.
  • Ensure documentation complies with occupational health regulations and company policies.

7. Coordination & Compliance

  • Coordinate with occupational health nurses, paramedics, and ambulance teams for effective healthcare delivery on site.
  • Ensure compliance with local health authority regulations and occupational health standards.
  • Support management in implementing workplace health policies and emergency response procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED1.00 - AED2.00 per month
