Overview:
Bella Roma Specialty Hospital, a premier institution specializing in cosmetic and plastic surgeries, is seeking a General Practitioner with extensive experience in general surgery. The candidate will play a crucial role in providing expert pre- and post-operative care to surgical inpatients, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal recovery. This role requires a deep understanding of diverse surgical specialties and patient management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Operative Care

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Assess and mitigate potential surgical risks in collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures, potential risks, outcomes, and detailed recovery plans.
• Ensure patients are well-prepared for surgery, addressing all queries and concerns.

Post-Operative Care

• Oversee immediate and long-term post-operative recovery, addressing complications swiftly.
• Perform minor procedures, including suturing, wound care, and the removal of surgical drains or minor lesions.
• Provide pain management strategies and follow-up care to enhance recovery.
• Guide patients and families through recovery protocols, including medication instructions and lifestyle adjustments.

Surgical and General Practice Expertise

• Leverage experience in various surgical subspecialties, including trauma surgery, oncologic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and gastrointestinal surgery.
• Apply proficiency in diverse surgical techniques and patient management strategies in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Spearhead trauma resuscitation efforts, optimizing team coordination and patient outcomes.
• Manage urgent medical concerns, including acute illnesses, trauma, and minor injuries.
• Perform minor surgical interventions such as suturing, excision of lumps (e.g., lipomas), and wound care.

General Patient Care

• Provide primary healthcare services, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with significant exposure to general surgery.
• Proven experience in trauma surgery, oncologic surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and minimally invasive techniques.
• Hands-on experience in cosmetic and post-operative care is an asset.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures.
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: Up to AED90,000.00 per month
