Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Infection Control Practitioner based in the Eastern Region. The practitioner will develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include conducting audits, performing infection surveillance, providing education on infection control practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards. The role also involves working closely with healthcare teams to investigate and mitigate infection risks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, hazard identification, and risk assessment
• Experience in data collection, surveillance methodologies, and root cause analysis
• Strong communication, training, and educational skills to promote infection control best practices
• Familiarity with healthcare facility regulations, JCIA, and ISO standards
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is highly desirable
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to dynamic healthcare settings
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
