Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics) – Perfect Balance Rehabilitation Centre
Perfect Balance Rehabilitation Centre · Abou Dabi, Émirats arabes unis
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Perfect Balance team. This is a part-time role aligned with school hours, making it an ideal opportunity for a therapist seeking a family-friendly schedule within a rewarding paediatric setting. In this role, you will empower children and young people to overcome motor, cognitive, or developmental challenges and build the skills they need to thrive in daily life — at home, at school, and in the community. You will design personalised treatment plans, deliver evidence-based therapy, and collaborate closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to help each child reach their full potential.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assessment – Conduct thorough evaluations of children's motor, cognitive, sensory, and emotional abilities to identify functional limitations and establish meaningful therapy goals.
- Treatment Planning – Develop individualised, child-centred treatment plans focused on building skills for play, self-care, learning, and social participation.
- Therapy Sessions – Deliver one-on-one and group therapy using evidence-based, play-based interventions to improve motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and functional independence.
- Progress Monitoring – Regularly review and evaluate each child's progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to support continued development.
- Family Coaching & Support – Provide guidance and emotional support to parents and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to carry over therapy goals into everyday routines.
- Collaborative Practice – Work closely with paediatricians, psychologists, speech therapists, educators, and caregivers to deliver holistic, coordinated care.
- School Support – Partner with teachers and school staff to develop strategies for children with attention, sensory, behavioural, and motor difficulties in the classroom. Provide practical recommendations for environmental adaptations and assistive technology.
- Professional Development – Stay current with advancements in paediatric occupational therapy through ongoing continuing education and evidence-based practice.
- Documentation – Maintain accurate, detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with HAAD/DOH standards.
- Advocacy – Champion children's rights and promote their inclusion in educational and community settings by fostering accessible, supportive environments.
Non-Clinical Responsibilities
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute to collaborative care planning.
- Provide timely, accurate documentation and communication aligned with HAAD/DOH and insurance requirements.
- Prepare reports for health insurers and correspondence for paediatricians and referral sources to support ongoing referral relationships.
- Respond to parent and caregiver enquiries and discovery calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with administrative staff and management.
- Actively contribute to the clinic's social media and marketing initiatives in line with the Perfect Balance brand.
