MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To monitor and manage the patient and front office administration process related to the capturing, management and collection of patient service revenue to ensure optimal revenue collection and prevent financial risk.
To ensure the delivery of the patient journey from referral to follow-up and the management of all operational service points.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- To lead and manage the team efficiently and effectively
- Monitor and manage Revenue Cycle Management governance by ensuring compliance to regulatory, legislative and internal processes and practices
- To provide management guidance to the front office, case management and revenue cycle function and monitor the effectiveness of all related processes
- Provide effective and efficient operational management to areas within scope of responsibility
- Review PLP reports and discuss with relevant stakeholders to monitor doctors Performance
- To oversee the effectiveness of all client services
Required Education Essential: A relevant Bachelor’s Degree in commerce or health or hospitality related field
Required Experience Essential: At least 3-5 years’ management experience in a similar position
Desired: Experience with Revenue Cycle Management in the healthcare industry, including relevant financial functions.
Experience in patient service delivery
Required Job Skills And Knowledge
- Application of sound budgeting and financial planning and management principles
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Contract and service level agreement management
- DRG's and related case management
- Experience in delivering complex patient / customer focused services across multiple service points
- Financial statements and reporting
- Financial systems (SAP, HIS)
- Knowledge and experience of the operations of hospitals and clinics and Knowledge of the Revenue Cycle Management processes and systems - Intermediate
- Risk management principles, systems and best practice
