The Burson Consumer team offers exposure to globally recognised clients and campaigns centred upon performance and purpose, and the ability to work alongside a passionate, diverse, and empathetic supportive team.

We're looking for a talented, creative, strategic, and passionate Account Manager who can offer a skillset across B2B/corporate and consumer campaigns.

You will have clear experience working with leading consumer brands, and an understanding of how corporate communications can work succinctly with consumer programmes.

Having a passion for what drives consumer behaviour and shapes culture is essential for this role, as you will be working with several of the world's most influential consumer brands.

What you'll do

  • Managing a busy press office, handling both reactive and proactive media enquiries
  • Maintaining relationships and building media / influencer contacts to drive client coverage
  • Campaign and events management
  • Editing and approving copy for articles, press releases, and event materials
  • Proactively developing and managing client correspondence and campaign programmes
  • Maintaining and managing accounts, ensuring the details of administration and execution are delivered with aplomb

Creative - confident generating ideas in response to client briefs

Managing retainers and projects with ease, showing ability for account management from conception to completion, anticipating challenges and meeting deadlines

Experience that contributes to success

  • A passion for understanding consumers, culture, and what shapes demand
  • Proven experience working on consumer brands across corporate and consumer campaigns
  • Passionate about media relations and what it can achieve for clients, as well as proactive and creative in pitching
  • A confident client handler with the ability to share counsel
  • Ability to drive a junior account team, encouraging and supporting them on their journey
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans that align with client business objectives and market trends
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in managing budgets, retainers, and identifying opportunities for account growth
  • Familiarity with PR measurement tools and a data-driven approach to demonstrating campaign performance and ROI
