Registered Nurse with NHRA License

The post holder functions under the supervision of the Radiologist. Will provide total nursing care to the assigned patients; this involves planning, administering and evaluation of nursing care rendered to the patients. Post holder administers all treatments and medications and maintains complete and accurate records of nursing assessments and nursing care. The functions performed require judgment based upon the application of scientific knowledge and are guided by the established philosophy and policies of MDC.

· Serving as a liaison between the patient and the medical team

· Preparing patients for a procedure

· Starting intravenous fluids to inject special dyes or contrast mediums into patients

· Administering barium enemas or solutions before procedures

· Monitoring a patient's vital signs or their status during procedures to identify changes

· Identifying unexpected reactions in patients during procedures

· Administering analgesia and sedating patients upon instruction

· Updating the medical staff on a patient's status

· Operating radiology machines and monitoring their functions to obtain accurate results

· Interpreting diagnostic images

· Reassessing patients after procedures

· Providing care and comforting patients until discharge

· Managing a patient's discharge

· Attending follow-up visits

Skills:

Besides technical skills in radiological diagnostic imaging, radiology nurses also possess certain soft skills, such as the ability to work as a team, multi-task and communicate effectively.

Qualification:

· Must be a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Nursing.

· Must be a registered nurse from country of origin.

Minimum 3 years work experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

· Must be a holder of a valid NHRA license.
