Job Description

Role Purpose:

To lead and manage the end to end support, operations, availability, and continuous improvement of the Hospital Information System (HIS). This role ensures system stability, timely issue resolution, user satisfaction, regulatory readiness, and operational efficiency across all clinical and administrative HIS modules.

Key Accountabilities:

1-Application Architecture:

Participate in the design, review, and enhancement of a secure, scalable, and interoperable HIS application architecture that supports clinical, administrative, and mobile use cases.

2-Solutions Design:

Deliver secure, reliable, high-performing HIS solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations and differentiate through innovation.

3-Manage Development Activities:

Lead and govern the full SDLC for HIS initiatives to deliver quality, secure, maintainable applications.

4-Integration & Interoperability:

Ensure seamless, secure data exchange across HIS modules and external systems (labs, radiology, pharmacy, payers).

Skills

  • Handle escalated incidents related to TrakCare modules (e.g., Registration, ADT, Billing, EMR, Orders,Pharmacy, LIS).

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of application, interface, and workflow-related issues.

  • Support system configurations, master data maintenance, and user role management.

  • Coordinate with vendors, L3 support, and infrastructure teams for complex issues.

  • Assist in testing, validation, and deployment of system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.

  • Support integrations with other hospital systems (LIS, RIS, PACS, ERP, etc.).

  • Participate in root cause analysis and preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.

  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and internal knowledge base articles.

  • Domonstrated leadership and people-management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and influence others

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving outcomes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations

  • Effective persuasion, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficient in business productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)

  • Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic planning

  • Strong prioritization and workload management skills in fast-paced environments

  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy

  • Demonstrated coaching and change-management capabilities

  • Bilingual communication skills is plus (Arabic and English)

  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient, able to operate effectively in ambiguous situations

  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Health Informatics, or related field
