As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and qualified Specialist General / Clinical Pathologist. --- ### Job Summary The Specialist Pathologist will be responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations at the Sohar branch, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic testing across hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology.

--- ### Key Responsibilities - Supervise and validate laboratory test results across all sections (hematology, biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, serology, and endocrinology). - Review, interpret, and authorize complex and abnormal laboratory reports before release. - Lead and implement internal and external quality control (IQC/EQA) programs to maintain accreditation standards (ISO 15189 / CAP). - Ensure compliance with the Ministry of Health (MOH) Oman regulations and laboratory accreditation requirements. - Oversee day-to-day technical operations of the Sohar branch and coordinate with the central laboratory in Muscat. - Mentor, train, and supervise medical technologists, technicians, and junior staff. - Investigate discrepancies, troubleshoot analyzer issues, and approve corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). - Participate in test menu development, method validation, and introduction of new diagnostic assays. --- ### Qualifications & Requirements - **MBBS / MD** with postgraduate qualification in **Clinical Pathology, General Pathology, or Laboratory Medicine**. - Valid **Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB)** license or eligibility for licensure as a Specialist Pathologist. - Strong working knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and modern automated analyzers. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in **English** required, **Arabic** is a strong advantage.
