Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecologist

To provide comprehensive, high-quality, and patient-centered clinical care in women’s reproductive health, prenatal/postnatal care, and gynecological disorders. The ideal candidate will manage outpatient clinics, perform routine diagnostics, and ensure the highest standards of medical safety and ethical practice in compliance with SHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical & Patient Care

• Provide comprehensive outpatient gynecological and obstetrics care to a diverse patient population.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the female reproductive system, including menstrual irregularities, infertility, hormonal imbalances, and menopause.
• Conduct routine screenings, preventive care, and health counseling (e.g., Pap smears, breast exams, family planning).
• Monitor low-to-moderate risk pregnancies, providing meticulous prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care.
• Perform minor and major outpatient nonecological procedures and surgeries and diagnostic ultrasounds.

2. Quality & Safety Compliance

• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) for all patients.
• Adhere strictly to clinical protocols, healthcare standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with the nursing team, laboratory, radiology, and insurance coordinators to ensure a seamless patient journey.

3. Regulatory & Insurance Standards

• Ensure all practices align with Sharjah Health Authority (SHA) guidelines.
• Provide accurate documentation and clinical rationales to support medical authorization and insurance empanelment processes.
• Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) to maintain licensing and stay updated on the latest medical advancements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, followed by a recognized Master’s Degree or Specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology (e.g., MD, MS, MRCOG, Arab Board, or equivalent Tier 1/Tier 2/Tier 3 qualifications).
• Licensing:
• Must hold an active SHA Specialist License or a valid SHA Evaluation Letter as a Specialist Gynecologist.
• Active Good Standing Certificate (GSC) from the last country of practice.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience practicing as a Specialist Gynecologist preferable in United Arab Emirates.
