Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. This includes patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. The role requires a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and education, while maintaining high standards of care in a critical care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer pre- and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in emergency response situations (Code Blue, Rapid Response) and provide critical care.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and recovery processes.
- Monitor specialized equipment, including ventilators and CRRT, and adjust as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulations.
- Manage medication and supply inventories, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and waste management protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Mentor and support junior staff, promoting a collaborative and educational environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
- Valid nursing license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in intensive care nursing.
- In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing practices, procedures, and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to handle emergency and high-pressure situations with professionalism and competence.
- Ability to educate and support patients and their families through complex healthcare scenarios.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and invasive monitoring devices.
