Veterinary Pharmacist

• Review veterinary prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential interactions

• Prepare and dispense medications for a wide range of animals (pets, livestock, exotic animals)

• Compound customized medications when required

• Counsel pet owners on medication usage, dosage, storage, and side effects

• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and controlled substances

• Ensure compliance with veterinary and pharmaceutical regulations

• Manage inventory, storage conditions, and expiration of medications

• Collaborate with veterinarians and clinic staff to optimize patient care

• Monitor for adverse drug reactions and report when necessary

• Experience in veterinary pharmacy or hospital pharmacy is an advantage

• Knowledge of animal pharmacology and dosing differences between species

• Familiarity with compounding techniques

• Understanding of veterinary laws and controlled drug regulations
