Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior / Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, and compliance. Candidates with prior automotive industry experience (dealerships, workshops, spare parts, service centers) will be highly preferred.

The level of responsibility will be aligned with the candidate’s experience (Junior or Senior).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts including AP, AR, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Record and review transactions related to vehicle sales, workshop services, and spare parts
• Handle daily cash collections, petty cash, invoicing, and receipts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist / lead month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, IFRS, and company policies
• Prepare VAT returns and support audits and inspections
• Monitor inventory accounting and costing for automotive parts (Senior level)
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff (Senior level)
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and management as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Junior Accountant:
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Senior Accountant:
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and team handling
• Automotive industry experience preferred
• Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CA) are an advantage for Senior roles

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Good understanding of UAE VAT and FTA compliance
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good communication and coordination abilities
