Assistant Nurse- DHA for HomeCare

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated DHA Licensed Assistant Nurse to join our Home Healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing support and personal care to ICU and Critical Care patients in a homecare setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and treating physician. The role requires delivering safe, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, infection control, and clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing assistance and personal care to critically ill patients in their homes.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose levels, oxygen saturation, and other routine observations, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the Registered Nurse or physician.
- Assist in caring for patients with tracheostomies, PEG feeding tubes, urinary catheters, oxygen therapy, and other medical devices, within the DHA scope of practice.
- Support the Registered Nurse in providing care to ventilated and medically complex patients as directed.
- Assist with positioning, turning, range-of-motion exercises, and pressure injury prevention.
- Perform basic wound care and dressing changes as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment by following DHA infection prevention and control protocols.
- Administer medications only within the approved DHA Assistant Nurse scope of practice and under appropriate supervision.
- Accurately document patient observations, care provided, and report changes in patient condition promptly.
- Educate patients and family members on basic hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and homecare routines.
- Ensure patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
- Participate in patient handovers and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing or Assistant Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid DHA Assistant Nurse License or DHA Eligibility Letter (Mandatory).
- BLS Certification (Mandatory).
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ICU, Critical Care, ER, HDU, long-term care, or Home Healthcare.
- Previous experience caring for ventilated or critically ill patients is highly preferred.
- Home Healthcare experience is an advantage.
Pay: AED10.00 - AED20.00 per month
