AVIAN NURSE

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Veterinary Avian Nurse to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have experience with avian patients and be comfortable assisting with small animals, including cats and dogs, when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with avian examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Provide nursing care for birds, including handling, monitoring, and hospitalization
• Support small animal (cats & dogs) consultations, diagnostics, and basic procedures
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and patient records
• Monitor patients post-procedure and during hospitalization
• Educate clients on avian and small animal care, nutrition, and medication
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and animal welfare

Requirements

• Veterinary Nurse qualification or equivalent
• Arabic language is a must
• Experience with avian species is essential
• Basic to moderate experience with cats and dogs
• Confident handling of birds and small animals
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to work in a busy clinical environment

Preferred

• Experience in exotic or referral clinics
• Knowledge of avian anaesthesia and nursing protocols
• Previous work experience in the Middle East
