Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The successful candidate will provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary care, specializing in interventional pulmonology procedures for patients with complex respiratory and thoracic conditions.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care using advanced bronchoscopic and minimally invasive pulmonary techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of respiratory and pulmonary disorders.
  • Perform advanced interventional pulmonology procedures including bronchoscopy, EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound), airway stenting, thoracoscopy, pleural procedures, and biopsy techniques.
  • Manage patients with lung masses, pleural diseases, airway obstruction, interstitial lung disease, and complex pulmonary infections.
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consultations.
  • Collaborate with thoracic surgeons, oncologists, intensivists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ICU and respiratory emergency management when required.
  • Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans for pulmonary patients.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with MOH/DHA regulations and hospital policies.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education programs.
  • Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, procedures, and preventive care.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by MOH UAE.
  • Board Certification / Fellowship in Pulmonology with subspecialty training in Interventional Pulmonology.
  • Valid MOH UAE Consultant License or Eligibility Letter.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in pulmonology and interventional pulmonary procedures.
  • Expertise in advanced bronchoscopic and pleural interventions.
  • Strong communication, procedural, and patient management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in tertiary care or academic medical centers.
  • Exposure to advanced pulmonary diagnostics and thoracic oncology programs.
  • ICU and critical care experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
