Coordinator - Patient Imaging

Working as part of Radiology’s multi-disciplinary team, theCoordinator - Patient Imaging, under the direction of the Supervisor - Patient Imaging and Scheduling, provides excellent patient-focused care whilst performing accurate and timely scheduling activities at both the Out- and In-Patient Radiology sites for all modalities including complex DI/Radiology anesthesia scheduling. S/he provides courteous and efficient assistance for all patients, their families and other internal and external visitors / callers to Radiology. The scope and purpose are to provide frontline operational support to the clinical Radiology facility so that patients receive efficient and timely patient-centered care. TheCoordinator - Patient Imagingperforms basic reception/ registration activities in support of the Radiology Processing Officer and may also perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor - Patient Imaging and Scheduling.

Systems integral toCoordinator - Patient Imagingworkflows may include:

• Cerner Scheduling System, including limited SurgiNet application

• Radnet application

• Cerner registration application

• Powerchart order entry

• Biometrics, including palm scanning technology

• Patient identification

• Insurance necessity and eligibility applications

• Capacity management patient transportation application

• IT hardware including document scanning and barcode reader equipment
