Design and Estimation Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Design and Estimation Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who can manage engineering solutions from presales through design, costing, proposal submission, and post-award support.

Key Responsibilities

The Design and Estimation Engineer is responsible for managing technical solutions from the initial sales lead through design, costing, proposal submission, and project documentation. The role involves site visits, engineering design, preparation of drawings, and material submittals.

Receive technical leads from the sales team and analyze client requirements

Conduct site visits when required to assess project conditions and technical constraints

Propose suitable engineering solutions aligned with project specifications and client needs

Prepare concept designs and technical solutions for tender and non-tender projects

Prepare and review designs and AutoCAD drawings

Coordinate with draftsmen for detailed design development and drawing revisions

Prepare design drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings as required

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and local regulations

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on approved designs

Perform pricing analysis in coordination with the procurement team

Review suppliers’ quotations to ensure technical and commercial compliance

Prepare technical and commercial offers

Coordinate the preparation of tender documents for tender projects

Prepare material submittals when required

Prepare and submit shop drawings after project award

Develop project plans in coordination with the project team

Ensure all technical documents comply with project requirements and company procedures

Maintain organized documentation for design, submittals, tenders, and projects

Support quality and ISO documentation requirements when applicable

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus)

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, BOQs, and tender processes

Experience in material submittals and shop drawing preparation

Advanced AutoCAD skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

Strong coordination and communication skills
