The DOH Registered Academic Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services within educational institutions. The nurse promotes the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff through clinical care, health education, emergency response, and compliance with the requirements of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to students, faculty, and staff.
• Assess, treat, and manage minor illnesses and injuries within the school/university clinic.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer first aid, CPR, and emergency care as required.
• Monitor and manage students with chronic medical conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, allergies).
• Administer prescribed medications in accordance with physician orders and DOH guidelines.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of health information.
• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and routine monitoring when required.
• Promote infection prevention and implement health and safety protocols.
• Educate students and staff on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, and mental well-being.
• Coordinate with parents/guardians, physicians, and healthcare providers regarding students' medical needs.
• Ensure the clinic is equipped with adequate medical supplies and emergency equipment.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain documentation in accordance with DOH standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities, evacuation drills, and health campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with all DOH regulations, institutional policies, and healthcare best practices.

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
