Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, minimizing workplace risks, and promoting a strong safety culture in accordance with UAE regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, inspection reports, and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure emergency preparedness at all project sites.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities on HSE-related matters.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the construction industry.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
• IOSH, OSHA, or other HSE certifications will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations, risk management, and HSE best practices.
• Experience in conducting incident investigations, safety audits, and compliance inspections.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
