Job Summary

The Infection Control Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the hospital’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program to ensure compliance with Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH) , CBAHI , and international best-practice standards. The role focuses on minimizing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), promoting patient and staff safety, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the hospital’s Infection Prevention & Control Program
  • Ensure full compliance with CBAHI, MOH, WHO, and CDC infection control standards
  • Monitor, investigate, and report healthcare-associated infections (HAIs)
  • Conduct surveillance, audits, and risk assessments related to infection control
  • Lead outbreak investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop and update IPC policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Train and educate clinical and non-clinical staff on infection prevention practices
  • Ensure proper implementation of hand hygiene, isolation protocols, sterilization, and disinfection
  • Collaborate with clinical departments, housekeeping, CSSD, and facilities management
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for hospital leadership and regulatory authorities
  • Support accreditation surveys, inspections, and internal audits
  • Participate in hospital committees related to quality, patient safety, and infection control
