Junior Accountant

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
• Technical skills:
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.

Core duties and responsibilities

• Recordkeeping: Post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records.
• Accounts payable and receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and update accounts receivable and payable.
• Financial reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Reconciliation: Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Auditing and closing: Assist with internal and external audits and support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Payroll: May assist with processing payroll and calculating related taxes.
• Other tasks: Handle other accounting tasks as assigned and maintain compliance with company policies and regulations.
