The Doris Duan-Young Autism Center (DDY) is a multidisciplinary center in Dubai Healthcare City that offers innovative and evidence-based programs and services backed by industry credentials, accreditations, and certifications. DDY is now looking for a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Light Vehicle Driver

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to the passengers adhering to all traffic laws and ‘safety regulations and ensuring comfort and safety throughout the journey.
• Represent the company positively and professionally in interactions with passengers and the general public
• Communicate effectively with passengers, families, and center staff to ensure a smooth transportation process
• Follow established protocols and procedures for emergencies, including medical emergencies or unexpected delays.
• Report any fault, incident, injury, or accident immediately to the operation manager
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle (inside and outside)
• Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure to check oil, batteries, and tires regularly
• Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle needs, keep track of general maintenance schedules, especially vehicle tires and break condition
• Schedule annual vehicle examination for vehicle services with the transportation department and apply for the renewal of the vehicle license
• Transport materials, packages, and products securely to areas whenever requested.
• Performs occasional maintenance and handyman jobs in the office

Qualifications

• High school diploma or degree holder
• Valid UAE driver's license with a clean driving record.
• More than 3 years of proven driving experience and familiarity with Dubai roads
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting will be an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules according to the transportation needs, and the candidate must be flexible enough for long working hours
