MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To ensure that quality and safe patient care is delivered by co-ordinating and facilitating the management of clinical and non-clinical resources as well as support services in the facility
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Provide managerial and leadership guidance to all multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality and safe patient care during shift
- To activate, co-ordinate and manage all clinical or non-clinical emergencies
- To provide effective and efficient operational guidance and support in the absence of Unit Manager or Head of Department
- To achieve the clinical quality according to set policies and procedures
- To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that contributes to team engagement
Required Education Essential: Bachelor of Nursing from a recognised Nursing Institute
Desired: Master of Science in Nursing or related Healthcare field
Required Experience Essential: At least 3-5 years’ senior nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital
Experience as Duty Manager/ Shift In Charge/ Nursing Supervisor in a hospital setting
Required Job Skills And Knowledge
- Application of the nursing scope of practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient care across disciplines
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Delivery of advanced nursing care in emergency or complicated situations
- Financial management principles
- Quality management and governance standards and best practice
- Risk management principles, systems and best practice
- Utilisation of relevant clinical equipment
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
