Job Description Summary

The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and effective dispensation and medication management within any assigned JHAH premises. Key duties include handling daily operational functionalities to ensure continuity of patient care and medication stock, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and safety, counseling patients on medication use and potential side effects, monitoring patients' medication therapy, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to optimize patient safety and clinical outcomes.

  • Conduct and participate in JHAH pharmacy branding activities including but not limited to publishing articles publishing posters serving as speaker in conferences participating in community awareness activities to enhance advancement of JHAH pharmacy profession
  • Set priorities make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergent continuity of care situations

  • Process all applicable medication order related functionalities at assigned units as per JHAH operational policies including but not limited to order verification pharmacokinetics dosing therapeutic monitoring narcotic stewardship antimicrobial stewardship attending clinical rounds providing patientcentered pharmaceutical care in decentralized centralized settings and patient counseling and ensuring proper documentation of medication review notes progress notes workload and operational reports Pharmacotherapeutic interventions and other patient care related functionalities mandated by operational need or manager directives on a daily basis
  • Perform sterilenon sterile compounding related functionalities at assigned units as per JHAH operational policies
  • Perform medication stock continuity management functionalities including but not limited to stock replenishment on a regular basis narcotic stewardship robotic maintenance shelf and unit floor stock inspection maintenance and replenishment shortages and suggest alternatives
  • Provide general didactic and practical education to pharmacy staff Pharmacy interns Pharmacy residents and other health care professionals

Minimum Education Required

Recognized Pharm D or Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy by Saudi Arabia or equivalent.

Professional Certifications Required

SCFHS license

Years of Experience

Minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical experience

Languages
