One of our clients in the oil and gas industry is looking for a Project Engineer to support their field development operations

Job Title: Project Engineer – Oil & Gas Field Development

Contract Duration: 3 years

Rotation Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (back-to-back coverage)

Number of Positions: 2 (back-to-back rotation)

Location: Field in Oman

**About the Role :**Our client is operating a small field block in Oman and is planning to drill new development wells and reactivate old wells to increase production. They require dedicated, full-time Project Engineering services to support day-to-day field operations. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising engineering activities to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project scope, drawings, and specifications
• Develop detailed execution plans and schedules for field activities
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors
• Ensure resource allocation aligns with schedule
• Oversee daily field operations and ensure compliance with project plans
• Monitor progress and resolve technical issues on-site
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations
• Validate installation and construction activities against approved drawings
• Conduct inspections and verify work meets quality standards
• Review and approve method statements and work procedures
• Provide engineering solutions for site challenges
• Interpret design documents and clarify technical queries
• Perform risk assessments for field activities
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies
• Track project milestones and prepare daily/weekly progress reports
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
• Attend site meetings and provide technical updates
• Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
• Prepare as-built documentation and final reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
• Fresh graduate from a reputable university in Oman or abroad
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio)
• Advanced knowledge in project reporting using Gantt Chart and S-Curve
• Good leadership to coordinate with multiple functions and other contractors
• Knowledge of PDO and international engineering standards
