Role Description The Senior Social Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Khobar at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare. This role provides advanced clinical social work services, including psychosocial assessments, care planning, counseling, and crisis intervention for patients and their families across inpatient and outpatient settings. The Senior Social Worker collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to support discharge planning, coordinate community resources, and advocate for patient rights and access to care. Duties include developing and implementing individualized intervention plans, documenting care in accordance with JHAH policies, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The role may also involve mentoring junior social workers, providing in-service education, and participating in research or program development to enhance social work services.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical social work skills, including psychosocial assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and discharge planning.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to coordinate community resources, navigate health and social service systems, and advocate for patient and family needs.
• High level of cultural competence, ethical practice, and respect for confidentiality in a diverse, multinational environment.
• Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills, with proficiency in electronic health records.
• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent from an accredited institution; relevant professional licensure/registration as required.
• Significant post-qualification clinical experience in medical, psychiatric, or community social work, ideally in a hospital or integrated health system.
• Experience in mentoring, supervision, or leading projects and initiatives within a social work or healthcare setting.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic language skills are an advantage.
