Statistical Analyst

Summary

Collects, analyzes, and makes presentation of facts as figures. Creates computer files for storing and retreival of figures. Applies formula to defined requests, develops weekly, monthly, trimester, and annual reports. Prepares special publications for hospital distribution. Designs and implements tabular and graphic presentations of statistical data.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Receives and reviews for accuracy, reports related to hospital activities relevant to patient care.

2 Compiles data related to admissions, discharges, births, and deaths based on treatment administered by the Medical, Dental, and Nursing staffs.

1. Compiles data relevant to speciality and subspecialty activities of Medical, Dental, and Nursing units.

2. Publishes and distributes statistical data to Hospital Management, Medical Units, Dentat Staff, Nursing Staff and other specialty requestors.

3. Develops special tabular and graphic statistical projects for Administration, Medical Staff and Nursing Staff such as projected growth patterns, staff development, construction, and renovation support data.

4. Guides and trains lower level IPA students and KFSH&RC employees.

5. Develops literature, statistics, and lecture materials for the Ministry of Health as requested.

6. Creates files and applies correct formulas for the development of spread sheet production for statistical publication.

7. Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.

8. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.

9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or IPA Diploma/Associate Degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Hospital Administration or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

One (1) year of related experience with Bachelor's Degree, or three (3) years with IPA Diploma/Associate Degree is required.
