Role Description

The Ultrasound Specialist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including preparing patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring accurate positioning for optimal imaging. The role includes operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment, capturing high-quality images, and collaborating with physicians to support diagnosis and treatment planning. The specialist will review and document findings according to hospital protocols, maintain accurate patient records, and follow infection control and safety standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting quality improvement initiatives, participating in training or case discussions as needed, and contributing to a patient-centered, respectful care environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant diploma or degree in sonography, medical imaging, or radiologic sciences from an accredited institution.
  • Current professional certification or licensure in ultrasound/sonography as required by local regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience performing a range of ultrasound examinations (e.g., general, abdominal, vascular, obstetric/gynecologic as applicable).
  • Strong technical competency in ultrasound equipment operation, image acquisition, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to accurately document findings and collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and privacy.
  • Strict adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and ethical standards in all clinical activities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize cases in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or specialty clinic setting, ideally in plastic surgery, cosmetic, or related fields, is a plus.
