Senior Medical Coder

Job Type: Full-time in Al Ain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of coding experience in Abu Dhabi healthcare facilities.
• Experience in multi-specialty coding is mandatory.
• Certified Medical Coder – CPC, CCS, or equivalent (AAPC/AHIMA certified).
• Solid knowledge of UAE medical insurance policies and claim workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services across various specialties (e.g., Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Dental, Physiotherapy, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with DOH (Department of Health) Abu Dhabi coding guidelines.
• Validate documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to payer requirements.
• Assist in minimizing claim rejections and denials through precise coding practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to clarify documentation and ensure coding accuracy.
• Perform internal audits and support external audits (insurance/DOH/Tasneef).
• Stay up-to-date with changes in coding regulations, payer rules, and clinical guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
