Job Purpose

To manage, control, and reconcile all financial activities related to the online and e-commerce operations , ensuring accurate recording of sales, collections, commissions, courier costs, platform fees, and profitability across all online channels.

Key Responsibilities 1. Online Sales & Collection Control

  • Record and reconcile daily online sales across all platforms:
  • Ecommerce
  • Marketplaces (Amazon, Noon, Carrefour, Sharaf DG, etc.)
  • Q-commerce platforms (Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, Instashop, etc.)
  • Reconcile collections vs sales (COD, card, wallets, BNPL, transfers).
  • Monitor pending collections and follow up with platforms and couriers.

2. Platform & Courier Reconciliation

  • Reconcile platform statements including:
  • Commissions
  • Marketing fees
  • Delivery fees
  • Cancellation and return charges
  • Reconcile courier statements (Aramex, iMile, Naqel, Shipa, Samsa, etc.) against delivered and returned orders.
  • Track and validate refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks .

3. Profitability & Reporting

  • Prepare online P&L reports by platform and by brand:
  • GMV
  • Gross profit
  • Platform fees
  • Courier costs
  • Marketing spend
  • Net contribution
  • Monitor GP% per platform and per SKU and flag any sales below benchmark margin.
  • Support monthly management reports and KPI dashboards.

4. Accounting Entries & Controls

  • Ensure accurate posting of:
  • Sales invoices
  • Credit notes
  • Platform settlements
  • Courier expenses
  • Marketing and advertising costs
  • Maintain proper supporting documents for all online transactions.
  • Coordinate with Finance Manager on month-end closing and reconciliations.

5. VAT & Compliance

  • Assist in VAT reporting related to online sales, refunds, and commissions.
  • Ensure correct VAT treatment for local and cross-border transactions.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all online activities.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with:
  • Online Operations (Faisal / John)
  • Finance Manager (Maysara)
  • Operations & Logistics teams
  • Flag discrepancies, delays, or financial risks to management immediately.
  • Support process improvements to enhance transparency and control.

Key KPIs

  • 100% reconciliation of online sales vs collections.
  • Monthly online P&L delivered on time.
  • Zero unresolved variances at month-end.
  • Accurate tracking of platform and courier costs.
  • On-time VAT and compliance support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in accounting, preferably in e-commerce or online retail .
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience handling multiple platforms and high transaction volumes is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
