Accountant

We are a Dubai-based group running two companies — trading business and a facilities/environmental services business. We are looking for a hands-on Accountant to own the day-to-day finance function across both companies and keep our books, VAT, and payments accurate and on time.

This is a full-cycle role for someone who can work independently, not someone who needs to be managed closely. You will report to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage sales invoices and record purchase invoices for both companies
• Perform bank reconciliations for both companies
• Prepare payment vouchers and receipt vouchers
• Maintain petty cash records and monthly vehicle/petrol expense tracking
• Process and maintain payroll/salary records for both companies
• Prepare and submit VAT returns through the FTA portal for both companies
• Maintain accurate, well-organised financial records and filing
• Manage statutory renewals: trade licence, vehicle registration (mulkiya), staff insurance, Workmen Compensation, and Public Liability
• Support year-end and any audit requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of UAE accounting experience (trading-company experience strongly preferred)
• Solid working knowledge of UAE VAT and FTA filing requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software ([Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks — specify yours])
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Accurate, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines independently
• Available in the UAE and able to join [immediately / within notice period]
