Analyst - Costing

JOB SUMMARY
TheAnalyst - Costingis responsible for supporting the clinical costing processes and support across SIDRA. This includes leading in monthly activity data preparation, cost model processing and reconciliation and results analysis.
This role will also include feeding back to support the HIS data quality, process set up and reporting extraction and automation to ensure cost capture meets costing requirements. Analysis and benchmarking of the PLICS results will form a key part of this role as more data becomes centrally available. This will include the support of internal and external pricing activities, coding information and activity data captured within Sidra.
This role will support in the data used for pricing, as well as offering insights into costs in relation to defining service, setting prices and understanding of Clinical Coding in place. This role will also support the ongoing training and development of costing expertise within Sidra across both finance and non-finance functions.
KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Costing within the Sidra
Leads the periodic Sidra costing activity data processing. Reviews activity data inputs and outputs to support the move towards routine detailed Clinical Costing, and then ongoing Clinical Costing
Prepares and analyzes detailed cost reports and financial statements, both at a Sidra Corporate level and at an Operational level.
Ensures accurate allocation of costs to various clinical services and departments within the Sidra PLICS model, in line with National Clinical Costing Standards.
Supports the preparation and analysis of cost reports, ensuring the reconciliation of data within the PLICS system to other Sidra data sources
Ensures data capture meets reporting standards, data quality is of the required level for costing and reconciliation points are achieved
Data Management and Integrity
Leads the process to ensure the integrity and accuracy of cost data through robust data management practices within the patient activity datasets.
Utilizes relevant software and tools to optimize cost analysis processes.
Supports data automation and gathering processes to ensure that all data is robust, enhancing efficiency and timeliness.
Training and Development
Assists in training staff in costing practices and financial management.
Fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the costing team.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
ESSENTIAL
PREFERRED
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Health Information, healthcare field or related field or equivalent professional experience
IT related qualifications
Experience
3+ Years’ experience Finance/healthcare
Exceptions to the experience requirement may be granted for Qatari nationals (internal and external candidates), with a reduction of up to two (2) years.
At least one year experience in a similar role in Clinical Costing
Experience in RCM
Experience in Clinical Coding
Certification and Licensure
Clinical Coding
