Role Description The Behaviour Therapist & Support Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, providing direct support to individuals with disability and older adults. In this role, the team member will implement behavior support plans, monitor client progress, and document observations in a clear and timely manner. Daily responsibilities include assisting with personal care, supporting clients with mobility and transport, and facilitating participation in community and group activities. The role also involves collaborating with healthcare professionals and families, promoting client choice, safety, and dignity, and contributing to ongoing improvement of support strategies. The Behaviour Therapist & Support Worker will be expected to maintain professional boundaries, follow organizational policies, and uphold high standards of ethical and culturally sensitive practice.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in behavior support, including implementing behavior plans, observing and recording behaviors, and applying positive behavior strategies.
  • Experience in direct client support, including personal care assistance, mobility support, and facilitating community engagement activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in a respectful and inclusive manner.
  • Organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining accurate records, following procedures, and managing time effectively in a busy care environment.
  • Relevant qualification in psychology, social work, counseling, disability support, aged care, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of person-centered practice, safeguarding principles, and ethical standards in disability and aged care settings.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dubai, including flexibility for rotating shifts, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Previous experience in disability, mental health, or aged care support is highly desirable; proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage.
