Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the hospital's billing department, ensuring efficient and accurate billing operations.
- Oversee the preparation, submission, and follow-up of patient invoices and insurance claims.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
- Monitor and improve revenue cycle performance, including claim submissions, denials management, collections, and reimbursement processes.
- Review and analyze billing reports, accounts receivable aging, claim rejection trends, and revenue performance metrics.
- Develop and implement billing policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and minimize revenue leakage.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, third-party administrators (TPAs), and government healthcare entities regarding claim processing and reimbursement matters.
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies, claim denials, and patient account issues in a timely manner.
- Lead, train, mentor, and evaluate billing staff to ensure high levels of productivity and performance.
- Collaborate with clinical, finance, admissions, and medical records departments to ensure accurate charge capture and documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and ensuring compliance with billing standards.
- Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations, insurance policies, coding requirements, and reimbursement guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's Degree or professional certification in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or medical claims administration, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of hospital billing systems, insurance claims processing, revenue cycle management, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
- Experience working with UAE healthcare insurance regulations, Department of Health (DOH) requirements, and TPAs is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and billing software.
Pay: AED9,000.00 per month
