Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Cardiologist to join our healthcare team in the UAE. The Pediatric Cardiologist will diagnose, treat, and manage congenital or acquired heart conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. The role demands collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and the provision of specialized, high-quality cardiac care for pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat congenital and acquired heart conditions in pediatric patients, including heart defects, arrhythmias, and cardiomyopathies.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (ECGs), cardiac MRIs, and stress tests.
• Conduct pre- and post-operative evaluations for pediatric patients requiring cardiac surgery, and collaborate with pediatric cardiac surgeons.
• Provide interventional procedures such as catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and stenting when needed.
• Monitor and manage pediatric patients with chronic cardiac conditions, ensuring long-term follow-up care.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, neonatologists, and nurses, to ensure coordinated care.
• Counsel families and caregivers on treatment options, potential risks, and post-treatment care, offering guidance and support.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
• Provide emergency care and consultation for critical pediatric cardiac cases.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students in pediatric cardiology.
• Stay updated on advances in pediatric cardiology and incorporate evidence-based practices into care delivery.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics and sub specialty or Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Pediatric Cardiologist.
• Valid medical license to practice
• Experience in performing pediatric echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, and managing critical pediatric cardiac patients.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills in pediatric cardiology.
• Expertise in pediatric cardiac imaging and interventional procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with children, families, and medical staff.
• Empathy and ability to provide emotional support to children and their families.
• Leadership skills for supervising medical staff and contributing to team-based care.
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle emergency pediatric cardiac cases.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage but not required).
