Position Overview

Bupa Arabia is seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to help protect the organization's information systems, digital platforms, networks, and sensitive healthcare information from evolving cyber threats. This role is responsible for monitoring security events, identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and responding to cybersecurity incidents to support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business and customer information.

Working closely with IT infrastructure, application development, risk management, compliance, and business teams, the Cybersecurity Specialist will contribute to maintaining a secure technology environment while supporting compliance with applicable Saudi cybersecurity, healthcare, and insurance regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems, networks, cloud environments, and endpoints to detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, security testing, and risk analyses, and recommend remediation activities.
  • Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate containment, recovery, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain security technologies including firewalls, endpoint protection, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and email security solutions.
  • Support identity and access management processes, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management, and user access controls.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and security controls.
  • Perform security assessments of applications, cloud environments, infrastructure, and third-party service providers.
  • Support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) controls, healthcare data protection requirements, and internal security policies.
  • Monitor security logs, threat intelligence, and emerging cybersecurity risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Deliver cybersecurity awareness guidance and promote security best practices across the organization.
  • Prepare security reports, audit documentation, risk assessments, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and support business continuity and resilience initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, or IT risk management.
  • Knowledge of SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR), firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and vulnerability management tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud security technologies for Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Understanding of recognised cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and the Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC).
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC, Microsoft Security certifications, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar programming languages is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and incident response skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare and insurance environment while handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
