Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the finance departments of each Business Unit and ensuring that proper accounting and recording of company transactions are performed in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with policies and procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to)

  • Implement appropriate processes and controls to ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately and in compliance with the policies and procedures of the Company.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process.
  • Implement appropriate processes and controls to ensure financial reporting deadlines are adhered to.
  • Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the Company and liaising with tax consultant.
  • Implement appropriate processes and controls ensure compliance with taxation laws.
  • Prepare monthly 3-month cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide accurate financial data as and when required to enable the senior leadership team to make critical business decisions.
  • Managing the Company's banking and borrowing arrangements including compliance with covenants.
  • Managing and overseeing the Company’s financial systems
  • Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of staff
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions in all Business Units.
  • Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information.
  • Reviewing all formal finance related policies and procedures and ensuring they are kept up to date.

  • Finance Managers of all Business Units
  • Chief Accountant in Head Office

Qualifications

Education

  • Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Finance required, or
  • Professional accounting certification e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years accounting experience in Accounting required
  • Direct experience in general Hospital Finance & Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience required
  • Experience in healthcare provider business office operations, especially billing and collections, preferred

  • Technical Expertise – Some understanding of healthcare including knowledge of healthcare terms and accounts receivable processes
