Housekeeping Attendant

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment throughout the healthcare centre. The role involves cleaning patient areas, consultation rooms, offices, waiting areas, and common spaces while adhering to infection control protocols and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize consultation rooms, treatment rooms, patient areas, offices, reception, waiting areas, and washrooms.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and disinfect floors, furniture, and high-touch surfaces.
• Ensure all areas are maintained according to healthcare hygiene and infection control standards.
• Replenish consumables such as hand soap, paper towels, tissues, sanitizer, and toilet supplies.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of general and medical waste as per healthcare policies.
• Handle linen collection and replacement where required.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely and maintain cleaning tools in good condition.
• Follow proper chemical handling and storage procedures.
• Support deep cleaning schedules and terminal cleaning when required.
• Assist during inspections and ensure compliance with DOH and healthcare quality standards.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality while working in clinical areas.
• Perform any other housekeeping duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and cleaning procedures is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and work for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.

Pay: AED1,103.88 - AED1,700.00 per month
