Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.

  1. Licensure and Certification:

• Certification in Human Resources Management (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is an

advantage.

  1. Language Proficiency:

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

• Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

  1. Professional Development:

• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on

HR best practices, labor laws, and industry trends.

• Participation in relevant professional organizations and HR networks is

encouraged.

  1. Other Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by

the HR Department’s operational needs.

• Strong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and

Roles and Responsibilities

The HR Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support in various human

resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training and

development, and policy administration. This role ensures that HR processes are

implemented effectively and that they contribute to the achievement of the hospital’s objectives. The HR Specialist serves as a point of contact for employees and managers,

providing guidance and support on HR-related matters and ensuring compliance with

labor laws and organizational policies.

  1. Recruitment and Staffing:

• Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes,

and scheduling interviews.

• Coordinate with department heads to understand staffing needs and assist in

developing job descriptions and selection criteria.

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation,

documentation, and introduction to organizational policies and procedures.

  1. Employee Relations and Engagement:

• Support the development and implementation of employee engagement

initiatives to promote a positive work environment.

• Assist in resolving employee relations issues and conflicts, ensuring compliance

with organizational policies and labor laws.

• Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and

recommend improvements.

  1. HR Policy Administration and Compliance:

• Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied and in compliance

with local labor laws and CBAHI standards.

• Participate in developing and updating HR policies to reflect changes in labor

laws, accreditation standards, and best practices.

• Provide guidance and training to employees and managers on HR policies,

procedures, and compliance requirements.

  1. Salary Processing:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries each month,

coordinating with the finance department to guarantee correct deductions,

bonuses, and adjustments.

• Verify and manage the attendance records, overtime, and any other variable

compensation elements for all employees.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and government regulations related to

payroll.

  1. Salary Discrepancy Resolution:

• Address any payroll-related issues or discrepancies raised by employees,

providing timely and efficient solutions.

• Communicate with employees regarding any changes to their salary or benefits

package, such as promotions, increments, or bonuses.

  1. Payroll Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of salary history, deductions, and any adjustments

made, ensuring that documentation is up-to-date and compliant with auditing

standards.

• Prepare and submit necessary payroll reports to management when required.

  1. Leave Policy Administration:

• Administer the hospital's leave policies (e.g., annual leave, sick leave,

maternity/paternity leave, emergency leave) in accordance with the applicable

labor laws and hospital regulations.

• Ensure employees are aware of their leave entitlements and assist them with the

leave application process.

  1. Leave Tracking:

• Track employee leave balances (annual, sick, and other leaves), ensuring that

leave usage is monitored and accurately recorded.

• Provide regular updates to employees regarding their leave balances and

available entitlements.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  1. HR Knowledge and Expertise:

• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, with the

ability to apply this knowledge effectively.

• Familiarity with recruitment, employee relations, training, and policy

administration in a healthcare setting.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and

effectively to employees at all levels.

• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and maintain a positive and

collaborative work environment.

  1. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills to address HR issues and implement effective

solutions.

• Analytical skills to assess HR metrics and trends and develop strategies for

improvement.

  1. Organizational and Time Management Skills:

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, ensuring timely and accurate

completion of responsibilities.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality HR

documentation and records.

  1. Adaptability and Initiative:

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced

environment.

• Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and

contributing to the success of the HR Department.

Experience

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a healthcare

setting.
